tang galiyaan.....

Ab,Tang galiyon se awaaz na do,
Badrang kaliyon ko khilne na do,
Sansar ajooba,tumhe khojta,
Bhatke man,ab phirne to do.

Ucchi aaawazen shor se lagti,
bhukampi garaj jor garajti,
Jal ke madyam tal par,
Nayya meri paar hone to do.

Nirankar aham ki simti katha,
Vyom main jhilmiati suvarna,
Nirmit chinhon ke pad-paon,
ko,ab aakar lene to do.

Bahakti sandhya main chupta chand,
Neel gagan ke woh phaand.
Pehle pehal muskurati chahal,
ko ab,needh bhar sone to do.

Ab,Tang galiyon se awaaz na do!

madhyam madhyam....

Madyam Madyam paschim ki aur,

chale mera purav ka dhwaj.

Vikrant shama aur shanti ka,

Sandesh deta mera bharat bhav.

Vigyan shati na ho jaye,

yahi kehta mere purav ka parv.

Naitikta ko gati hai deta,

Mera Bharat bhavya shabdh.

Aaakul vyom ke madhur swar,

pawan hai meri mati se bhav.

Aundhi aandhi main tika hua hai,

Yeh swar,jo kondhe sa utsav.

Aaj milan,kal hai vismrat,

Kaun gali ka khel ajab?

Sab ko jode hi rakhta,

Mera bharat apporva hai bhav.

O Mali! Mere sapnon ko panapne do...

O mali! mere sapno ko panapne to do,

Dhar Darati ki chube bahaut hai,

Muzhe apno se gale lagne to do!

Itihaas gavah hai,

Main yugon se teri bhook mitati aayi hun,

par aaj vasant ke nirmal jhokon ko,

Muzhse takrane to do!

Tere Pasine ki mahak ka,

swad hi chakti aai hun.

Aaj jara gili mitti ki,

Sondh jara chakhne to do!

Ek Vaisya sa tu muzhko,

Roz aakhon se takta raha.

Kuch waqt udhari main dekar,

Muzho suraj se to milne to do.

O Mali! Mere sapnon ko panapne to do...

Global Warming from Inside??

The topic of Global Warming is also warming in the political arenas now, thanks GOD. This year’s Noble Prize was awarded to IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Control).
The effects of Global warming are quite drastic such as:-
Melting of Ice Caps resulting in increase of Sea Level
Increase in the temperature of the earth.
Massive wash-out of Bio-Species.
Massive erosion of Land/Soil
Good Ground for various infectious bacteria to breed.
Effect on the Rotation of Earth

The sixth one is one of the major after effects of the Global Warming. But why the rotation will be affected? Let me give you a brief explanation about it!
Our earth is eccentric in Nature and there is a gravity centre that exists within the earth. Different parts of the earth have different density. It is the centre of gravity which revolves around the sun. The ice –caps if melted and this mass moves towards the sea then the distribution of different masses i.e. of ice and water changes resulting in the shift of centre of gravity. It has been estimated that the days will be longer in the future than it is now.
I have one more reason that if verified would also add one more point to this worsening picture.

As estimated, as you go deeper the denser the material one will find like iron or nickel.
The viscosity also varies with the levels. We know if we move two different materials ie of different viscosities the material with higher viscosity will try to drag the material with lower viscosity, in other terms this is called Friction. So, a force of friction works inside the earth between various levels of crusts or mantles. It also affects the rotation of earth. As there will a frictional force that will try to regulate the moment of different levels of crusts. Due to global warming the temperature of the atmosphere will rise. These additional heats will we passed on to inner core through various levels of crusts and mantles. Due to rise in the inner temperature this will change the viscosities and so the frictional forces inside. A change in frictional force that affects the rotation of the earth will definitely work here well. Although I assume the effect will be negligible but still an effect is an effect and secondly if it is of the multiplying nature then it will create major havoc inside affecting our life at the surface.
So Guys get ready as Global Warming has much more in store!

(The idea is a genuine one and is developed by me, please contribute!)

Only Human demeans Humanity.....

Child Soldiers in Burma (Myanmar) - HRW reportFacing a military staffing crisis, the Burmese government is forcibly recruiting many children, some as young as age 10, into its armed forces, Human Rights Watch said in a report released Oct. 31. Burmese military recruiters target children in order to meet unrelenting demands for new recruits due to continued army expansion, high desertion rates and a lack of willing volunteers. Non-state armed groups, including ethnic-based insurgent groups, also recruit and use child soldiers, though in far smaller numbers. "The brutality of Burma's military government goes beyond its violent crackdown on peaceful protestors," said Jo Becker, children's rights advocate for Human Rights Watch. "Military recruiters are literally buying and selling children to fill the ranks of the Burmese armed forces." Based on an investigation in Burma, Thailand and China, the 135-page report, "Sold to Be Soldiers: The Recruitment and Use of Child Soldiers in Burma, " found that military recruiters and civilian brokers receive cash payments and other incentives for each new recruit, even if the recruit clearly violates minimum age or health standards. Biased Judgements:Even Developed Countries follow the suit..an example..

Mark Waugh gets away with Speeding:
Apparently it’s a case of not what you do wrong, but whom you are when it comes to getting off speeding tickets.
Cricket legend Mark Waugh is likely to keep his license despite being pulled over by an unmarked car this May for being 43km/h over the limit. His mates Mark Taylor and Alan Jones defence seeming to mean more to the Gosford judge than the facts at hand.
He received a slap-on-the-wrist sentence of six two-hour sessions of the traffic offenders program but will neither be fined, nor lose demerit points with the incident being cited as an “err in judgement”.
Had this been you or me (or a motor sport identity), we’d have had our car confiscated, license cancelled, and been severely fined. The judge also has the power to make us see some time behind bars.
I feel this sends the wrong message to both cricket adoring kids and the general public, and that a dangerous precedent has been set in allowing those of privilege to be above the law.
What do you think? Would the judge be so lenient on you?

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) The Nobel Peace Prize 2007

Interview with R.K.Pachauri...

"... there's every reason to hope that there will be some action now ..."
Telephone interview with Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), following the announcement of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, 12 October 2007. The interviewer is Adam Smith, Editor-in-Chief of Nobelprize.org.
[Rajendra Pachauri] – Hello.
[Adam Smith] – Hello, this is Adam Smith from the Nobel Foundation's website.
[RP] – Yes sir.
[AS] – Is this a possible time to talk, quickly?
[RP] – Sure.
[AS] – Thank you. So, congratulations of course on the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
[RP] – Thank you.
[AS] – What do you think the Nobel Peace Prize means to the IPCC?
[RP] – What do they mean to the IPCC or to the world?
[AS] – Uh, either, or both!
[RP] – I mean, for the IPCC it's really a big honour and you know it just provides an enormous amount of encouragement to all the scientists and experts who worked tirelessly to produce the reports of the panels, and I mean this is an honour that no-one could have anticipated. And as far as the world is concerned, I think it's a very clear message that climate change is extremely important. Could you just hold half a minute?
[AS] – Certainly, yes.
[RP] – Hold just half a minute.
[AS] – Of course, yes.
[RP, to unknown person] - Well they can call 15 minutes later.
[Unknown, to another telephone caller] – Can you call back in 15 minutes.
[RP] – Yeah, sorry. Yeah, I think as far as the world is concerned, I think it's a very clear signal that the Nobel Prize Committee is clearly indicating that climate change is something that needs attention. It's a serious problem, and it therefore requires urgent attention, from the world and the global community.
[AS] – And I know that your fourth Assessment Report is due out soon, but that you've already received your contributions from your working groups.
[RP] – Right.
[AS] – Do the latest findings make you more or less hopeful that, if the world does pay attention to this, we can prevent the effects of anthropogenic climate change?
[RP] – Well I think the response to the three working group reports has been totally unprecedented, far beyond my expectations and those of everybody else that's involved in the business, and therefore we expect that the synthesis report, which is due to come out next month, will also be received with a great deal of interest. And I think the result so far has been that there's an enormous amount of awareness and understanding of everything related to climate change. Not only among the public, but I would say also the world leaders. And therefore there's every reason to hope that there will be some action now on this front.
[AS] – And my last question. If individuals were to ask you what they should do to help ...
[RP] – Yes, yes.
[AS] – ... what would your message to them be?
[RP] – Well I would say two things. Firstly I think we should ponder and consider, ponder over and consider, the carbon footprint that each of our actions is producing. And I think if we create a consciousness that this world has to move towards a low carbon future, then I think it would certainly set us in a somewhat different direction from what we've been following. And secondly I think there is need for major behavioural changes, and changes in lifestyles, and I think if the public puts adequate pressure on governments then governments will frame policies, including putting a price on carbon, that will provide the right signals to the market as well for developing new technologies and being able to disseminate them on a large scale.
[AS] – OK.
[RP] – So, in general, that's what I would say.
[AS] – OK, thank you very much indeed.
[RP] – Thank you.
[AS] – Thank you for sparing the time to talk to us and once again congratulations.
[RP] – Thank you very much, thanks very much.
[AS] – Bye, bye.
[RP] – Bye.

"Chak de India" was inspired by an Uttaranchali...

(story published on orkut)
The story of the forthcoming Hindifilm 'Chak De India' is based on an Uttarakhandisportsman. Produced under the banner of Yash RajFilms, the film is purportedly based on the life of anIndian hockey player, Mir Ranjan Negi.Negi hails from Majkhali in district Almora. He wasborn on 7 September 1958 in Jabalpur (MP). Mir ispresently serving in the Mumbai Customs. Negi donned the Indian colours for many years. But the1982 Asian Games in New Delhi totally changed his lifefor the worse. He was the goalkeeper of the Indianhockey team during the Asian Games. India faced ahumiliating 1-7 defeat against Pakistan. This was anunforgettable experience for Negi. Later in his life,Negi coached the National Women's hockey team and theteam went on to win Gold at the ManchesterCommonwealth Games. 'Chak De India', slated for release on 10 August, hasa similar storyline. Shahrukh Khan is playing the roleof the hockey coach. Mir Ranjan Negi accompanied thefilm unit to Australia to help them shoot on thehockey field. The 1982 defeat had an adverse affect on the life ofNegi as he was charged with match fixing. Yashraj Films' Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Chak de Indiadepicts the story of Negi, who was accused of takingmoney from the Pakistanis to concede goals. Althoughunsubstantiated, the allegations ensured he neverplayed for India again. Chak de India is inspired byhow Negi fought those allegations and redeemed hishonour by helping India win the men's Asian Games Goldin 1998 at Bangkok and the women's team to gold at theManchester Commonwealth Games in 2002.
